So, like you, I ‘ve heard that prologues are not thought upon lightly. Because they usually are skipped, sometimes boring or are simply not necessary.
So I’m sure that you know revising your novel is hard and that things change throughout each draft.
To bring suspense and mystery you can foreshadow anything. It is important as the writer to not overuse the foreshadowing technique . Foreshadowing allows for there to be suspense and mystery you do not want to dispel it .
