Writing the Werewolf Novel: My Training Chapter & Scene Bites

A SMALL UPDATE ON DURING THE BLUE HOUR

Chapter 35 , CONTROL is now completed at 3201 words . Nine more chapters to go. However I think this chapter, My Training Chapter & Scene Bites . (get it? cause a werewolf bites. Okay I ‘ll stop. But please keep reading.)

WRITING CHAPTER 35 CONTROL

This chapter and scene was a training scene between Cristian and Sirena. And it is pretty long I guess. For me it was hard to write because – well its a training scene and usually many writers skip it, but for me I felt like it was pertinent to my story to have in the novel because it will show through at the end.

Okay so I wrote the scene in Cristian’s pov. He doesnt know really how to train her. He is a new alpha and well he really doesn’t know anything about control. So how does a werewolf who doesnt know about control teach another werewolf about control?

Yeah. Its hard . I slogged through the scene. Its okay I guess. I tried to mix the scene up with dialogue and sparring action. But not too much to bore the reader. Its pretty much just them two in the scene. Cristian learns that Sirena can get too out of control if she transforms into the werewolf. He believes he is the only one who can protect her from herself. But the question for his arc will ultimately be will he know how?
